  • Do an organized tour of some amazing sites.... I've listed a few below:
Chichen Itza
Come and be amazed by this magical site in a singular setting. Discover the mysteries hidden in each of the impressive edifications of Chichen Itzá. In this fully guided tour you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to one of the most important archaeological sites in the world.

During the journey you will be served a continental breakfast while you admire the impressive landscape. Founded in 525BC the complex of Chichen Itzá has been recognized as one of the New Wonders of the World and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At this impressive site you will find such fabulous structures as the Pyramid of Kukuclan, the Sacrificial Well, the Observatory, the Monk’s Cloister, the Observatory, the Wall of Skulls, and the world’s biggest ball court where a whisper can be heard kilometres away due to the powerful acoustic properties of the structure.

And when you get hungry you can enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch (drinks included) at the Hubiku restaurant. On the way back we will also stop to visit the colonial town of Valladolid where you can cool down in the waters of its cenote. This is one excursion you cannot afford to miss if you are staying in or around the Riviera Maya or Cancun.

Discover Tulum and Xel-Ha

Enjoy an action-packed day in the Riviera Maya that would be the envy of Indiana Jones and Tarzan with this combined tour of Tulum and Xel-Há. Marvel at the beauty of ancient architecture at Tulum, the only Maya city that overlooks the crystal blue Caribbean Sea, and then live an adventure worthy of the Lord of the Apes himself at Xel-Há, the largest natural aquarium in the world, where you can snorkel the azure waters or simply bask in the warm Mexican sun.

The sight of the ruins of Tulum will astound you as they slowly appear over the horizon and into your line of vision. Perched atop a majestic cliff and overlooking the striking, almost unnatural blue of the Caribbean, Tulum was a walled city and, many believe, a major Mayan port. The ruins are ghostly yet stand stoically in defiance of the passing of time.

Continue to Xel-Há, a natural aquarium renowned around the world for its brightly coloured tropical fish that scuttle beneath the surface. It also boasts dramatic limestone formations that make for a wondrous backdrop. Test your mettle at the dizzying Stone of Courage; try the treacherous Trepachanga; the ‘refreshing’ Salpichanga; and the thrilling Mo’s Flight. And after all that, you can relax by snorkelling, drifting in a mangrove or simply chilling on a hammock.

Visit to Contoy Island and Mujeres Island

If you’re a nature lover then a visit to Isla Contoy is one excursion you shouldn’t miss while you’re in Cancun. The length of the transfer by minibus to Punta Sam will depend on the location of your hotel.

At 0930 we will set off on a relaxing 45 minutes voyage to Isla Contoy. During the crossing you will be entranced by the crystal clear waters and unsurpassable views. You will have the opportunity to go snorkelling at the marvellous Ixlache coral reef, considered to be the second largest of its kind in the world, where you can contemplate the beauty of its flora and fauna. In mid-morning we will sail to the southernmost point of the Island where you can admire the lighthouse, the fishermen’s village, and the nests of frigate birds, pelicans and cormorants and if you’re lucky, you may even get to see eagle rays, manta rays, turtles and starfish. On landing at the Island we will visit the museum of flora and fauna, where you can enjoy spectacular views over the lagoon and spot some of the 250 species of bird that nest on the island.

You will also have another chance to go snorkelling. And after all this activity you’re bound to have worked up a healthy appetite so it’s time to enjoy a buffet brunch, consisting of roasted fish tikinchik style, chicken, guacamole, salad, rice and fresh fruit (drinks included). Then there’ll be plenty of time for you to rest and enjoy the sun, sea and sand. Afterwards it’s time to leave for another Caribbean Island, Isla Mujeres where you will have plenty of time to explore and maybe even do some shopping. This unforgettable day will come to a close at 16:30 when you will be taken back to your hotel.

  2. I've been to Chichen Itza and Isla Mujeres. They are quite different from each other, but I enjoyed both. We could possibly organize our own trip to Isla Mujeres for a little cheaper, but that would not include Isla Contoy, which sounds interesting as well. Looking forward to being together, ladies!
